Plotinus. Plotini divini illius e platonica familia philosophi, de rebus philosophicis libri LIIII. In Enneades sex distributi, a Marsilio Ficino, woodcut printer's device to title, woodcut initials, 17th century ink ownership inscriptions to title, occasional early ink annotations or markings, browning throughout, mostly uniform, some light spotting, some worming to upper and lower margins (not affecting text), contemporary vellum, spine lettered in gilt, spine head chipped, a few other small losses and small tear lower joint foot, some wear to corners, stained, [VD16 P 3572], folio, Solingen, Johann Soter, 1540.

⁂ German edition of Marsilio Ficino's Latin translation and commentary on Plotinus' The Enneads. Ficino is generally recognised as one of the greatest Renaissance authorities on classical Platonism. This edition includes the biography of Plotinus which originally appeared in the editio princeps of Ficino's translation printed in Florence, 1492.
