Description

Warren (Suzanne).- Young (Gordon) In Trust and Treason, first edition, Suzanne Warren's own copy with ink ownership inscription and extensive proofing and annotations, photographic plates, front endpaper with small stain, original cloth, upper corners damp-stained, rubbed, dust-jacket, creasing and small tears at extremities, tape repairs to verso, joints a folds a little scuffed, 8vo, 1959.

⁂ Suzanne Warren, signed "Suzanne Charise...", substituting her codename for her surname. A Resistance fighter in France during World War Two, Warren's story is both heroic and personally tragic. On a preliminary leaf here she gives detailed coverage of her extensive edits to the text, which are carried out on the following pages in blue ink, particularly deleting pp.89-93.
