⁂ Christopher Fry (1907-2005) was an English poet and playwright and major force in the theatre in the 40s and 50s. He is best known for his verse drama "The Lady is Not for Burning", as well as creating memorable parts for John Gielgud, Laurence Olivier and Edith Evans, giving Richard Burton his first role on Broadway, and being the writer primarily responsible for the script of "Ben-Hur," among other films.
Joseph Losey (1909-1984), American screenwriter and producer, made notable films with screenplays by Harold Pinter, such as "The Servant", "Accident", and "The Go-Between".
