Observations upon the Antiquities of the Town of Herculaneum, discovered at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, 2 parts in 1, second edition, 42 engraved plates, 2 folding, a few shaved at fore-edge, title and A4 with short tears but no loss, water-staining to lower margin of preliminaries, contemporary and later ink inscriptions to front pastedown, modern book-label of J.L.Weir, contemporary calf, a little rubbed and stained, rebacked preserving old spine and red morocco label, D.Wilson & T.Durham, 1756 § Venuti (Marcello di) A Description of the first Discoveries of the Antient City of Heraclea, translated by Wickes Skurray, first English edition, a few ink annotations or crossings out in contemporary hand, a little damp-stained towards end, some worming, mostly marginal, modern calf-backed marbled boards, spine gilt with red morocco label, R.Baldwin, 1750, 8vo (2)
