⁂ Rare; the first authentic edition of Rochester's poems. Following his death in 1680 two pirated editions of his poems were published, in 1680 and 1685. This is the first edition to include 'Valentinian', a reworking of Fletcher's tragedy, also a Preface by Thomas Rymer and 'A Pastoral...bewailing the Death of the Earl of Rochester'.
