Petrarca (Francesco) Opera quae extant omnia, 4 vol. in 3, main title with woodcut portrait of the author, remaining volumes with half-title, charming woodcut initials of putti throughout, with blank hh6 at end of vol.3, woodcut device on otherwise blank final leaf of vol.4, vol.3 & 4 bound together and interleaved, contemporary ink quotation at head of title and inscription of Richard Cox & notes in other hands on front free endpaper of vol.1, title a little soiled, browned (particularly vol.2), occasional light water-staining to lower outer corner, slight worming to inner margin of some leaves in vol.1, small tear/paper flaw to head of BB1 of vol.2 affecting a couple of letters, engraved bookplate of William Constable F.R.S. & F.A.S., handsome eighteenth century calf with elaborate gilt-tooled border, spines gilt in compartments with tan morocco labels, small & unobtrusive old library paper label at foot of spines, a little rubbed, head of spine of vol.1 slightly worn, lower joint of vol.2 cracked, [Adams P777], folio, Basel, Sebastian Henricpetri, 1581.
