Dryden (John).- Virgilius Maro (Publius) The Works..., translated by John Dryden, second edition, title in red and black, engraved frontispiece and 101 plates by Hollar and Lombart after Francis Cleyn, spotting and browning, heavy in places, frontispiece and a few other plates trimmed close to outer margin, E4 & F1 repaired at head, 1 plate with new strip strengthening lower margin, library blind stamp to rear endpaper, modern half morocco, folio, Jacob Tonson, 1698.

⁂ Seemingly scarce in commerce, this hugely popular edition reused the plates from Olgilby's translation of 1654.
