Description

[Robert Robson (Edward, 1836-1917)] A scrap album of architectural drawings and elevations of mainly church architecture, including studies of Romanesque and Gothic churches and ruins, sheets of architectural ornamental devices and architectural details of Abbeys and Parish churches, over 150 works, the majority pen and black ink on tracing paper, some with watercolour, several line-engravings, and includes a salt photographic print attributed to William A. Pumphrey (1817-1915) of the Old Palace, York Minster, laid on the front pastedown, the majority of items laid onto sheets, some inserted, occasional spotting and browning, surface dirt, minor nicks and tears, morocco backed, cloth boards, worn, folio, [c.1860s].
