Bookbinding.- Holmes (Richard R.) Specimens of Royal Fine and Historical Bookbinding, Selected from the Royal Library, Windsor Castle, chromolithographed dedication to Queen Victoria, photographic frontispiece of Royal Library, 152 chromolithographed plates by W. Griggs, title and text within chromolithographed border, dedication, frontispiece & title little frayed at edges and silked, some light finger-soiling, ex-Victoria & Albert Museum and Royal College of Art Library with bookplates/labels to endpapers, embossed stamp to foot of title, ink-stamps, generally very small, to frontispiece and title verso and occasionally verso of plates (sometimes offset to plate rectos), original decorative red cloth, gilt, rebacked preserving original backstrip, spine with sticker to foot and few light stains, corners worn, little rubbed, folio, W. Griggs & Sons Ltd., 1893.
