Miscellany.- Robinson (Sir William, engineer and architect, c. 1643-1712) Autograph Letter signed to Arthur Moore, financier and politician, (d. 1730), 1p, 8vo, London, 9th May 1707, "I finde that my leggs will not answer my inclinations in waiting on you at ffetcham..."; and c. 190 other letters, including: correspondence of the Earl of Minto's family (17); Earl Brassey (politician, 1836-1918) (18); correspondence of Earl of Essex and Earl De Grey of Newby Hall to Cooper of Piccadilly, carver and gilder, glass grinder and looking-glass manufacturer (1784-1839) (15); and individual letters of Richard Cobden, manufacturer and politician (1804-65); Sydney Smirke, architect (1798-1877); Sir Astley Cooper, first baronet, surgeon (1768-1841); Sir Austen Henry Layard, archaeologist and politician (1817-94) (signed envelope front) etc., some letters removed from album ff., folds, 8vo, v.d., 1707 & 19th century (c. 190).
