Scrap Album of ephemera relating to John Waldie, text in English, French, Italian, and German, including various manuscript documents and letters, playbills and broadsides, an invitation to 'The Coronation of her Most Sacred Majesty', ticket pass to the Island of Vido, document relating to the Abbey of Kelso and John Waldie's work as Town Treasurer of Kelso, and permission to enter the Vatican Museum, a few ff. loose, some chipping, fraying and tearing into ff., John Waldie bookplate to front pastedown, original half calf, rubbed and worn, [1830s-40s]; and another scrap album of illustrations, folio (2)

⁂ Broadsides and playbills included mention viewing mechanical animals and waxworks, theatre productions in regional theatres in Newcastle, Liverpool, and Edinburgh and Royal Olympic Theatre under the management of Madame Vestris.
