Botany.- Maund (Benjamin) The Botanic Garden; Consisting of Highly Finished Figures of Hardy Ornamental Flowering Plants, Cultivated in Great Britain..., 6 vol., edited by James C. Niven, second edition, half-title to vol. 1, 250 hand-colored lithographed plates, tissue-guards (a couple loose or lacking), 8pp. advertisements at end of each vol., vol. 5 final f. of advertisements loose, few plates mainly to vol. 6 with very small ink dots or puncture-marks to fore-margin, occasional light finger-soiling, very slight toning to margins, else very good with plates bright, ex-Royal College of Art Library with bookplate and embossed stamp to foot of titles, contemporary green half morocco, spines gilt and with raised bands, spines slightly darkened and with library sticker to foot, worn in places with couple small tape repairs, vol. 6 upper cover detached, [Great Flower Books p.160; Nissen BBI 2222], 4to, George Bell and Sons, 1878.
