Costume.- [Alexander (William)] The Costume of the Russian Empire, first edition, 73 hand-coloured engraved plates, title, dedication and text in English and French, some front leaves detached, faint offsetting, contemporary calf, rebacked, g.e., decorated in blind and gilt, a little rubbing to extremities, [Abbey Travel 244], folio, S. Gosnell, 1803 § Shaw (Henry), Dresses and Decorations of the Middle Ages, 2 vol., title in red and black, hand-coloured additional pictorial title, 93 plates, some aquatints, some printed in colour, many hand-coloured or finished by hand, a few heightened with gold, decorative initials and illustrations printed in colour, titles foxed, ex-library set with ink stamp on verso of titles, a few marginal tears, occasional foxing, contemporary cloth, rebacked in calf, William Pickering, 1843; and another, folio (4)
