Oder Neuere Geschütz-Beschreibung worinnen von allen vornehmsten Haupt-Puncten der Artilleri..., second edition, half-title, title in red & black, engraved additional double-page pictorial title by de Groot and 32 double-page plates all mounted on stubs, contemporary ink signature of Wm. Jones to head of title, browned and water-stained, one or two short tears to folds of plates, contemporary reversed calf, spine gilt, rubbed, spine ends worn, upper cover detached, folio, Frankfurt & Leipzig, J.C.Mieth, 1684.

⁂ One of the most important works on artillery of the seventeenth century.

Presumably William Jones (1675-1749, mathematician and tutor to George Parker, 2nd Earl of Macclesfield.
