Evangelia arabice scripta, Latine reddita, title in red & black with woodcut arms, with 'Typographus lectori' leaf following title but lacking Latin dedication and portrait, with large woodcut vignettes in text after Antonio Tempesta, with another 'Typographus lectori' leaf from 1591 issue at end, this and title both a little soiled and trimmed to border and laid down, penultimate leaf (final leaf of text) creased, one leaf repaired at lower outer margin, very light browning to a few leaves but generally a good clean copy, eighteenth century mottled calf with elaborate border of flowers, acorns, crowns and birds' heads tooled in gilt, spine gilt, g.e., worn, covers detached, spine ends worn, lacking most of label, [Darlow & Moule 1643; Mortimer, Harvard Italian 64], folio, Rome, Medici Press, 1619.
⁂ A scarce reissue of a 1591 edition (D&M 1637) of the Gospels in Arabic, with interlinear Latin gloss added. The text of the additional 'Typographus lectori' leaf at the end is the same as that in the preliminaries but includes a colophon and a different woodcut ornament.
