Low Countries.- [Baudartius (Willem)] [Beschrijvinge vande grouweijcke Tyrannie/ en meer dan Barbarische wreetheden der Spaengniaerden…], drop-head title from first leaf, mostly Gothic letter, double column, lacking title and all after Mm3 (end of text), with 38 full-page illustrations comprising 3 engraved portraits and 35 views of cities, battles, torture, executions etc., engraving on f.81 pasted over with a different engraving, contemporary ink annotations/pen trials to a few leaves and notes to rear pastedown, rather soiled and stained, contemporary vellum, spine titled 'Spanische Tyrannie der Nederlanden' in ink, rubbed and stained, oblong 4to, n.p., n.d.; sold not subject to return

⁂ An abbreviated version of Afbeeldinghe, ende beschrijvinghe…, Amsterdam, 1615 which recounted the 1559-1615 wars in the Low Countries, featuring depictions of Spanish atrocities.
