America.- Yellowstone.- Haynes (F[rank] Jay) Water Color Photographs, Yellowstone Park, 12 hand-tinted albumen prints, each mounted with printed list details to verso and each image identified with a pencil mark, lacking photograph 11 (Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone from the Brink) but with two different photographs numbered 4 (Punch Bowl, Upper Geyser Basin & Mammoth Paint Pots), the latter seemingly from another issue of the same series with different printed details to verso, occasional light soiling or staining, browning and some light wear to mount extremities, housed in a modern cloth portfolio (wear to spine label), each photograph 120 x 200mm or the reverse, mount 225 x 300mm., [c.1900].
⁂ A beautiful series of photographs, published not long after the National Park was instituted in 1872.
