French letters & documents.- Pétion de Villeneuve (Jérôme, French writer and politician who served as the second Mayor of Paris from 1791 to 1792, and the first regular President of the National Convention in 1792, 1756-94) Letter signed to the Travaux Publics, 1p. with conjugate blank, in French, folio, Paris, 4th April 1792, concerning the restitution of some tapestries; and c. 45 others, French letters and documents, including: Soult, Paul Barras, Joseph Fouché, first Duc d'Otrante; Louis-Gabriel Suchet, Dominique Vandamme, Claude Ambroise Régnier, duc de Massa, Hugues-Bernard Maret etc., folds, v.s., v.d., 18th - 19th centuries (c. 45).
