Merrymount Press.- Altar Book (The): Containing the order for the celebration of the Eucharist according to the use of the American Church, one of 350 copies, printed in red and black, 7 illustrations by Robert Anning Bell, woodcut borders and initials by Bertram Goodhue, with 4pp. 'Notes to the Altar Book' loosely inserted, also loosely inserted are an A.L.s from Updike himself (with envelope) accompanying a 6pp. extract or 'Publisher's Announcement' (this slightly browned), slip and an order form, browning to fore-edge in places, original blind-stamped calf, lower cover detached and upper nearly so, triple brass clasps, some wear to extremities, edges uncut, folio, Boston, Merrymount Press, 1896.
