Rouse's copy with his pencil annotations, photocopy of an article on O'Connor with Rouse's annotations loosely inserted, original cloth-backed boards, dust-jacket, price-clipped, spine faded and with very short tear at head, little rubbed at extremities, 8vo, New York, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 1969.

⁂ Provenance: A.L. Rowse (1903-1997), British historian, best known for his works on Elizabethan England and Cornwall. He was a fellow of All Souls College, University of Oxford and a senior research fellow at The Huntington Library; Norman Scarfe (1923-2014), Suffolk historian and author (bookplate).
