Aesop. Fables..., translated by Sir Roger L'Estrange, number 153 of 595 copies on Auvergne hand-made paper, from an edition limited to 665, illustrations by Alexander Calder, with the scarce paperknife loosely inserted (often missing), light foxing to endpapers, original boards, uncut, with pictorial blue dust-jacket (spotted), original cloth-backed red glazed board folder (spine slightly faded) and slip-case (a little rubbed, short splits to joints), preserved in additional modern cloth-backed folder and slip-case, [The Artist & the Book 1860-1960 47], 4to, Paris, Harrisons of Paris, & New York, Minton, Balch & Co., [1931].
