Description

La Fontaine (Jean de) Fables, 3 vol. in 6, number 139 of 114 copies on vélin de Rives with 3 additional suites of plates (colour, black, and black with remarques printed from an etched plate) and the colour decompositions of one illustration, from an edition limited to 3450, 56 wood-engraved illustrations and numerous floral tail-pieces printed in colour by Jean Taricco after Henry Lemarié, loose as issued in original decorated wrappers, uncut, the three volumes and companion set of suites in six folders and slipcases, preserved in additional modern paper wrappers and card slip-cases, 4to, Paris, Les Heures Claires, 1962-66.
