Description

Rows (John) [The Rows Rol] This rol was laburd & finished by Master John Rows of Warrewyk, lithograph title and 33 hand-coloured lithographs heightened with gold and silver, plate-guards, occasional light spotting, original morocco backed boards, a little rubbed, bumping to corners and extremities, 4to, William Pickering, 1845 [but c.1859].

⁂ Scarce. Believed to be one of only 100 copies published, and one of only a handful with hand-coloured plates.

This work was left unfinished following the death of William Pickering in 1854, but was subsequently picked up by Henry G. Bohn who completed and published it.
