Fables...pour servir à l'Education des Enfans des deux Sexes, 2 vol., engraved throughout on 145ff. comprising frontispieces, titles, Life of Aesop and 126 illustrations with text below, some foxing, one or two marginal repairs, later half dark green morocco, t.e.g., a little rubbed, Paris, Tardieu Denesle, [c.1800]; Recueil de Fables d'Ésope, et autres Mythologistes; Les Mêmes, mises en vers par La Fontaine, half-title, engraved frontispiece of Aesop with animals and 75 engraved illustrations of fables by Augustin Legrand, advertisement leaf and final blank at end, with neat contemporary ink manuscript English translations to each fable below the prose description, sometimes extending to lower margins and facing leaf, one or two not complete, light spotting, mostly at beginning and end, modern bookplate of L.E.Alderman, modern half green morocco (not by Sweet), covers with alternating sections of green morocco and Cockerell marbled paper and small gilt dots, spine gilt, [Not in Cohen-de Ricci], 4to, Paris, Marcilly, An VIII 1799, preserved in modern cloth folders and slip-cases, 4to (3)
