Binding.- Bible, English.- Holy Bible (The), Containing the Old and New Testaments, additional engraved title, Oxford, by Mark Baskett, 1762, bound after, The Book of Common Prayer ..., additional engraved title, by Thomas Baskett, 1756, engraved portrait frontispiece, 51 engraved plates, 6 engraved double-page maps, one with tender edges and short splits to foldlines, occasional light spotting, bookplate, previous owner's ink inscriptions to early blanks, contemporary black calf, wide gilt floral border, red morocco to centre with gilt christogram within gilt sunburst, richly gilt spine with some expert repairs to spine ends, a little rubbed, large 4to.

⁂ Bookplate of Sir Martin Browne ffolkes (1749-1821). Names and details of various members of the ffolkes family in ink to early blanks.
