Africa.- South Africa 1953-1954; South Africa (including Basutoland) 1955; South Africa including the Rhodesias 1956, 3 vol., c.655 vintage photographic prints, each c.210 x 125 mm., one or two newspaper or magazine clippings, captioned by hand, pasted onto thick leaves, contemporary red morocco, titles in gilt to upper cover, a little rubbed, slight bumping to corners and extremities, large folio, 1953-56.

⁂ An interesting record of road and sailing trips taken around apartheid era South Africa, showing villages and landscapes which no longer exist. The albums include snapshots of: Johannesburg; Orange Free State; Natal; Kimberley; Durban; Queenstown; Kologha Forest; Victoria Falls; Bulawayo; Limpopo River; Sakania; Pretoria; Heidelberg, and; Ladysmith, and detailed descriptive captions.
