Dentistry.- Che?mant (Nicolas Dubois de) A Dissertation on Artificial Teeth. Evincing the Advantages of Teeth made of Mineral Paste..., fourth edition, engraved portrait frontispiece and one double-page plate, presentation inscription "From the Author" to front free endpaper, same endpaper with contemporary ownership name of John Turton M.D. to head, frontispiece offset, plate and few text ff. nearly loose, some browning, some spotting or light foxing, upper hinge strengthened affecting flourish to inscription, original marbled boards with printed paper label to upper cover, rebacked in calf, circular sticker of Ash's Circulating Library to lower cover, extremities worn, T. Bensley, 1804; and others 19th century, various subjects, including A Stevenson Medley, one of 300 copies (1899), 8vo & 12mo (6)

⁂ Fourth edition in English of a work originally published in French in 1797 and first translated the same year. Dubois was a pioneer in the manufacture of artificial teeth.
