Scott (Sir Walter).- [Walker (Clement)] Relations and Observations, Historicall and Politick upon the Parliament begun Anno Dom. 1640, 2 parts in 1, Sir Walter Scott's copy with his ink signature to title (and another erased), second part printed in red & black, slight worming to first part, I3 of second part with top corner torn away with slight loss, old calf, upper cover detached, preserved in Italian style hand-painted vellum dust-jacket apparently for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (see below), rather soiled, [Wing W334C], small 4to, 1650.
⁂ With a copy of the bookplate of Nina Conan Doyle (daughter-in-law of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) loosely inserted and inscribed "Once belonged to Sir Walter Scott and signed by him on title page. Cover put on for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when book came into his possession".
Contains the first occurrence of the term "Rump Parliament".
