Collection of 89 plates of the fashion and costume during Louis XIV's reign, many also by J.D. de St. Jean, engravings, 49 with original hand-colouring, several heightened with gold, platemarks of various sizes between approx. 300 x 200 mm (11 3/4 x 7 7/8 in) to 350 x 220 mm (13 3/4 x 8 5/8 in), all neatly mounted onto album leaves, some trimmed to or within the platemark, occasional spotting and surface dirt, a few with minor damp-stains, minor tears, later half calf, green boards, very worn with losses, folio, [circa 1680-1720]
