Hampshire.- Tudor lease in the year Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn.- William Lawrans of Odiham to Robert Marchant of three crofts of land with three meadows 'thereto lying' called Fordelandes lying at the Bydden in the parish of South Warnborough ('Suthwarnborowe'), in the hundred 'Holshot' and county of Hampshire; with land late of Thomas Felder of 'Greywell' west and east, land of Thomas Haydoke north, and the highway south; for forty years at yearly rent of 26s 8d; the lesee to keep the enclosures in repair as in 'heggyng & dychyng', Tudor English manuscript on vellum, seal largely preserved in red wax, 25 March 1533.
⁂ The date of this lease is exactly two months after the date of Henry VIII's marriage to Anne Boleyn and two months before Thomas Cranmer declared the marriage of Henry VIII to Catherine of Aragon to have been null and void.
