Davis's sponsorship for the excavations carried out in Egypt led to the discovery of many ancient Egyptian antiquities and artifacts, most of which are on display in museums in New York and Egypt. Involved in Davis's excavations were Howard Carter, Gaston Maspero, and Edward Ayrton. Titles in this collection are: Tomb of Hatshopsitu, Tomb of Iouiya and Touiyou, The Funeral of Papyrus of Iouiya, Tombs of Siphtah, and Tomb of Queen Tiyi.
