Description

India.- Hazin (Muhammad Ali) Tazkira [Autobiography], Persian manuscript, c.100pp., worming throughout with occasional loss of text, toning and staining, some ink smudges but not severe, leaves remargined, some repairs with missing text supplied, a few annotations and underlinings, hinges weak with text block becoming detached, penciled illustrations of ?temples on endpapers, contemporary half sheep, chipped, wormed and worn, 8vo, Bengal, India, 1282 AH, [1865 CE].

⁂ A near contemporary copy to the life of the author, best known as a poet, who fled to the Indian subcontinent where he attained his fame. The John Rylands Library has an incomplete copy of this work (Persian MS 447).
