Return from the Provost Marshal of the Island of Jamaica, of the Number of Slaves sold ..., 1828, additional page numbers inserted by hand, disbound, folio (2).

⁂ The first is a detailed list of the individual slaves subject to manumission (ie. freed by their owners), in the three islands, between 1808 (the end of the slave trade) and 1823. An important document.
