Description

Music.- Holland Festival 1964, concert programme in Dutch and English, signed presentation inscription from Benjamin Britten with two bar musical quotation from his "cello symphony" to title, original printed wrappers, upper wrapper with faint erased pencil inscription to head, very faint spotting to lower wrapper, rusting to staples, spine slightly rubbed, tall 8vo (c.257 x 120mm.), [Amsterdam], July 1964.

⁂ Featuring performances by the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra of Britten's Cantata Misericordium and Symphony for Cello. The latter had premiered in Moscow in March of the same year.
