⁂ Originally published in Barcelona in 1573. This second edition was printed under the direction of Pedro Pineda, to whom a note in English at the end of vol. 2 is attributed. Here he explains how, the first edition of the text is "one of the greatest rarities in the Spanish tongue", a copy of which being "one of the scarcest [...] in the world". He also states he has "tried all sorts of methods to get it for five and twenty years."
