As a respected artist of anthropomorphised animals, Louis Wain is known for his surreal drawings of cats, kittens and dogs. Many of Wain’s works were featured in journals of the time including Illustrating Sporting, Dramatic News and the Illustrated London Newsdepicting the recognisable large-eyed feline imagery.
