Private PressWorks
The lesser known Yeats sibling of W. B. and Jack, Elizabeth Yeats set up the Cuala Press in 1908 and it played an important role in the Celtic Revival of the early 20th century. The private press had the support of W. B. Yeats and publicised the works of the poet along with Lady Gregory, Padraic Colom, John Synge and other prominent Irish writers. Some of the books contain hand-coloured illustrations by Jack B.Yeats including A Broadside, issued monthly from June 1908 to May 1915 in an edition of 300 copies.
