The Works on Paper department sells and values prints, drawings and watercolours created by artists working in Europe between the 16th and 19th century, and includes works under the categories of British Drawings and Watercolours from 1750-1900, Old Master drawings by artists working in Europe between circa 1500 to 1900, and Old Master Prints covering the history of European printmaking from 1500-1900.

The department also handles decorative and topographical works on paper traditionally associated with book collecting. With the breadth of material covered and the wide range of price points, the department caters for established collectors, as well as engaging with young collectors and new buyers seeking to start their collections.
