Voragine (Jacobus de) Legenda hec aurea, collation: A10 a-x8 y10 , title in red and black with large woodcut device and 2 woodcut initials including a large 'L' incorporating a head and a monkey, numerous other woodcut historiated initials including lives of the saints and scenes from the life of Christ, A2 with top half torn away entirely, t1 with tear in lower edge of text block and paper slip repair to verso causing abrasion and loss to initial, some early ink annotations, especially to a4 verso, soiling and staining, some light foxing, modern morocco-backed boards, 4to (245 x 161mm.), Lyons, Jacob Huguetan, 1509.
