John II (King of Aragon & Navarre, 1398-1479) Letter signed absolving Franciscus, of Burgos from any duties to his father and town, so that he may serve the King, 1p., in Latin, signed verso, later pencil and ink inscriptions verso, folds, several very small holes, with loss of a few letters, stained, some spotting, lightly browned, 217 x 291mm., Barcelona, 9th August 1455.
⁂ The King 'humbly requests' that the boy's father complies to his request to release him from his duties as a Catalonian, and to allow him to enter his service. It is stated that the seven year old boy will not be separated from his father.
