Chateau Lafite Rothschild Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac, 2003
Level IN, excellent appearance, packed in a Duclot presentation box. Dark crimson. Quite severe and obviously left bank. Strong cassis aromas. A sweet start on the palate. Fine, polished, very classy wine. Obviously elegant and extremely fresh on the finish. Excellent lift with very finely etched flavours. This lot formed part of an extensive collection of a true wine lover and connoisseur whose interests span all four corners of the wine-making world. Purchased from reputable UK auction houses and merchants over the past two decades, these wines were recently removed from a temperature-controlled cellar especially for this sale and transferred to LCB.
