Hobbes (Thomas) Behemoth; or an Epitome of the Civil Wars of England, from 1640, to 1660, first edition, scattered faint spotting, tiny worming to gutter, not affecting text, previous owner's ink signature to blank and title, cracked upper hinge, nineteenth century cloth, loss to backstrip, slight bumping to corners and extremities, [Wing H2213], 12mo, 1679.
⁂ This was originally written in 1668, and suppressed until surreptitiously published in 1679 with the title 'Behemoth'. Two other pirated versions were also published in 1679, though ESTC lists this as the first edition.
