⁂ Rare work by Frank H. Shelton (1924-2014), nuclear physicist and atomic expert. Shelton was employed at the Sandia Corp. in New Mexico and involved in nuclear weapons tests in Nevada and the Pacific. He later became the Deputy Technical Director for the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project at the Pentagon. This copy is presented to Lorna Arnold (1915-2014), a British historian who wrote several books connected with the British nuclear weapons programmes.
