Domaine Huet, Vouvray, Cuvee Constance Moelleux, 1989
Good levels, labels slightly soiled, 1 worn. Deep, glowing amber - much the same as the Rieussec 1983 tasted at the same time. Real healthy savour of honey, toast and lime blossom. Refreshing acidity and medium body. Very rich, unctuous hit on the palate but supremely refreshing. Lots of green fruit flavours and quite astonishingly vibrant. This lot forms part of a private family collection amassed over 12 years by a passionate wine lover who neglected no corner of the wine-making world. Purchased through merchants and auction houses, the wines were kept in a bonded warehouse with a leading merchant and a meticulously organised country house cellar, prior to removal especially for this sale.
