Bucktrout's of Guernsey, 40 Year Old Fine Mature Jamaican 'Liberation' Rum, NV
54% abv. Bottle no. 411 of a limited edition of 550 bottles. Excellent level, good appearance. Certificate of Origin included, slightly creased and slightly damp stained. This rum was produced in Jamaica before 1945 and shipped in a large oak cask to Guernsey in 1947. The cask was stored and bottled by Bucktrout's of Guernsey in 1985 on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of Liberation Day, 9th May 1985. Liberation Day marks the liberation of Guernsey from German occupation, hence the 'V' for Victory adorning the label.
