Greene (Graham) The Ministry of Fear, first edition, original bright yellow cloth, spine dulled, spine ends rubbed and a little bumped, rubbing to joints, dust-jacket, neat and expert repairs and restorations to head, foot and joints, spine a little dulled, a few splits to upper fore-edge, but in effect a bright and excellent copy, preserved in custom lidded box, 8vo, 1943.
⁂ Greene's superb wartime thriller, made into the 1944 classic Fritz Lang film noir. The book and jacket were produced under wartime economy standards making the latter in particular especially fragile; copies in attractive condition as here are rare.
