Description

Chitty (Lady [Helen Mary]) The Black Buddha, first edition, 6pp. advertisements with this title listed, original cloth, dust-jacket priced at 7/6, some minor chipping to spine ends and corners, a few short tears with light creasing to head and foot, but a bright and excellent example overall, 8vo, 1926.

⁂ An excellent example of this rare adventure title set in India, we can trace no other copies online or at auction. Helen Mary Chitty (1859-1932) was wife of Sir Charles William Chitty, a High Court Judge in Calcutta.
