⁂ Two American icons in one go; excellent Soup Can drawing and inscription with amusing reference to the Marx Brothers' film Duck Soup and its star Groucho Marx. Warhol executed a print of the Marx brothers as one of his Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century series in 1980. Although he inscribed several copies with a soup can drawing it is rare to find one including a flavour and this one with the pun is exceptional.
