Shakespeare (William) [Comedies, Histories, & Tragedies, second edition], lacks all before D2 (i.e. 'To the Reader', title, preliminaries and all of The Tempest and Two Gentlemen of Verona), H3 (pp.89/90 from Comedy of Errors), T3 (pp.221/222 from Taming of the Shrew), Bb4 (pp.295/296 from The Winters Tale), d1 and d2 (pp.37-40 from Richard II), d5 and d6 (pp.45-50 from Richard II and Henry IV, part 1), e2-5 (pp.53-60 from Henry IV, part 1), pp2-rr6 (pp.271-304, last leaf of Macbeth, all of Hamlet and first leaf of King Lear), and all after bbb5 (pp.399-419 from Cymbeline), N1 (first page of Midsommer Nights Dream) defective and repaired with loss of text, X2 and X7 misbound, c6 (pp.35/36 from Richard II) supplied from a smaller copy, frayed with some loss of text, soiling and staining, 18th century panelled calf, rebacked and recornered, [STC 22274; Pforzheimer 906], folio (326 x 210mm.), [by Tho. Cotes, for Robert Allot, 1632].

⁂ A substantially defective and rather grubby copy, but nevertheless with many complete plays - The Merry Wives of Windsor, Measure for Measure, Much Adoe about Nothing, Loves Labour's Lost, The Merchant of Venice, As you like it, All's Well that Ends Well, Twelfe Night, King John, Henry IV part 2, Henry V, Henry VI all 3 parts, Richard III, Troylus and Cressida, Coriolanus, Titus Andronicus, Romeo and Juliet, Timon of Athens, Julius Caesar, Othello, Anthony and Cleopatra.
