⁂ A collection of 24 tracts - some in parts - all but three published by John Marshall after his split from Hannah More. Most are scarce, with only a handful of entries on ESTC, sometimes fewer. Mary Kilner (1753-1831) was a prolific women's writer of children's books in the late 18th century. The most famous was The Adventures of a Pincushion. Together, she and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Kilner, published over thirty books. She would often be published under the name "S. S.", which stood for her home in Spital Square, London.
